WTA World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka withdrew from the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix beginning on April 13 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Sabalenka has never won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix despite being a finalist four out of the last five years. Ash Barty (2021), Iga Swiatek (2022 and 2023), and Jelena Ostapenko (2025) thwarted her efforts to win the Porsche car awarded to the tournament champion.

Sabalenkaâs smart scheduling could pay Grand Slam dividends
She is smartly managing her schedule. She sat out the Middle Eastern swing (Doha and Dubai) which worked out well as she won the Sunshine Double.
Sabalenka is citing an unspecified injury picked up in her Miami Open run as the reason for her Stuttgart withdrawal.

She wants to be healthy and prepared for Roland Garros, another title that has eluded her. For all of her greatness, she has won just the hardcourt Grand Slams. By managing her body and her schedule, she gives herself a better opportunity to win on the clay at Roland Garros and grass at Wimbledon this summer.

This yearâs Porsche
The tournament champion will win a Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet. Valued at approximately $222,000, this vehicle can reach up to 191 miles per hour.
Sabalenka really wants to win a Porsche
Last year, Sabalenka joked the orange Porsche had a tiger look. She also said she lost her previous finals to World No. 1 ranked players. Though she was World No. 1 in 2025, she did not get the prized car.
After the 2023 loss, Sabalenka jokingly asked the tournament director to get another car if she made another final.
In 2021, Ash Barty was the first WTA World No. 1 to win the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix since 2007.
Sabalenka said that she would keep coming back to the tournament until she won the car. Fans hope to see her back in Stuttgart in 2027.
If and when she wins, we envision Sabalenka to be hilarious in receiving the long overdue prize.
