Carlos Alcaraz may not be the world number one, but he is certainly the favourite to win the 2026 ATP Finals.
Alcaraz, third in the ATP rankings, has won 17 of his 19 matches since returning from long-term injury at the end of August.
The Spaniard’s momentum continued on Thursday as he was granted an automatic bye to the Paris Masters quarter-finals following Matteo Berrettini’s withdrawal.
Alcaraz will hope to carry this momentum into the rest of his Parisian campaign before travelling to Turin, Italy, for the end-of-year event.
If Alcaraz were to win the 2026 ATP Finals, what would he earn in prize money?

Players will earn $1,206,000 for a semi-finals victory and $2,412,000 for winning the final in Turin. If a player goes undefeated at the event, they will earn a total prize pot of $5,171,000.

When comparing the 2026 ‘undefeated’ prize pot totals to those at the 2025 event, there has been a 1.972 per cent increase.
The total 2026 prize pot of $15,750,000 demonstrates an increase of 1.5873 per cent on the 2025 total of $15,500,000.
What did Jannik Sinner say after winning the 2025 ATP Finals?
Sinner produced a sublime performance to triumph against Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the 2025 ATP Finals, winning 7-6, 7-5 inside the Inalpi Arena.
“We are individual athletes but without my team, this is not possible. Celebrating this trophy at the end of the year after such an intense last couple of months, there is no better ending,” Sinner said of his team, who sat courtside.
“It was a very, very close match. I saved a set point in the first set and I am extremely happy with how I handled the situation and it means the world to me.”
“I am really happy with the level I played today,” Alcaraz said during his runner-up speech. “He [Sinner] is someone who has not lost a match on an indoor court for two years now, so that means how great a player you are. Putting in great work with your team every time. You come back even stronger after every loss, you don’t have many. A well-deserved final.”
