The first round of singles in the ITF W100 Amstetten tournament has concluded

July 20 2026 and another exciting day of main-draw action has concluded at the LADIES OPEN Amstetten powered by SPORTLAND Niederösterreich.

Top seed Julia Grabher opened her campaign in convincing fashion, defeating Austrian wildcard Ekaterina Perelygina 6-1, 6-0. The former World No. 54 controlled the match from the baseline with her heavy topspin and powerful forehand to secure her place in the second round.

Austria’s Arabella Koller produced a spirited performance against second seed Teodora Kostović. Koller made the perfect start by taking an early 2-0 lead and stayed with the Serbian throughout a closely contested opening set before eventually falling 4-6, 0-6 to the World No. 171.

The comeback of the day belonged to Germany’s Ida Wobker. The 15-year-old, playing her first-ever W100 main draw, recovered from 0-4 down in the opening set to defeat Israeli No. 1 Lina Glushko 7-5, 6-4.

Guided by former German Fed Cup captain Barbara Rittner, Wobker turned the match around with fearless, aggressive tennis to reach the second round.

Elsewhere, most of the seeded players progressed as expected. The biggest surprise came when Czech teenager Julie Paštiková defeated former World No. 45 Anna-Lena Friedsam in three sets.
