Roger Federer and His Wife Mirka Show Up at Rafa Nadal Museum Days After Golf Outing With the Spaniard

The legendary “Fedal” bond is still going strong beyond the tennis court. This week, fans were treated to a dose of nostalgia when Roger Federer and his wife, Mirka, visited the Rafa Nadal Academy at Manacor, Mallorca, in Spain. The two icons also found time to hit the fairways for a friendly round of golf.

Federer and his wife were warmly welcomed by a special team that included Nadal’s father, Sebastián Nadal, the academy’s tennis director, Gustavo Marcaccio, and the museum’s head, Gonzalo Pérez. Although Rafa could not join him for this part of the tour, the Academy ensured the Swiss legend felt right at home.

After the visit, the academy posted on X: “Welcome back, @rogerfederer! Thank you for visiting the new Rafa Nadal Museum and being part of such a special day at the @rnadalacademy.”

The highlight of the visit was the newly refurbished Rafa Nadal Museum, which now has original artifacts and audiovisual content tracing Nadal’s legendary career. Federer also spent time in the room dedicated to the “Big Three,” showcasing personal items donated by Nadal, Federer, and Novak Djokovic.

Federer had attended the academy’s original inauguration back in 2016, and he was deeply moved by the space’s transformation. The 20-time Grand Slam winner also praised the whole team behind it.

However, no trip to Mallorca would be complete without some friendly competition. Federer and Nadal reunited on the greens at Golf Santa Ponsa, a club that previously hosted the DP World Tour’s Mallorca Open in 2021.

Nadal has been into golf for years, even during the peak of his tennis career. Federer, on the other hand, has made golf his go-to sport since retiring in 2022. The Swiss has been spotted playing across the globe, including recently sharing a round with Carlos Alcaraz.

Federer was the first to step away from the sport in September 2022 at the Laver Cup with 20 Grand Slam titles to his name. Nadal followed suit two years later, in November 2024, after the Davis Cup Finals, finishing his career with 22 Grand Slam titles. Today, both men are enjoying their downtime with families and philanthropy, while Rafa continues to oversee operations and development at his academy.
