Genie Bouchard slays in Britney Spears Halloween costume

Dressed as Britney Spears, retired Canadian tennis star Genie Bouchard wowed fans on social media with her Halloween look.

Bouchard’s costume is reminiscent of Spears’ 2001 VMA performance complete with a python. Unlike Spears, Bouchard’s python is not real.

Bouchard is the latest retired tennis player to dress up as a celebrity for Halloween, joining Caroline Wozniacki who debuted her Taylor Swift look earlier this week.

The transformation is great, and fans agree that Bouchard is rocking the Spears look.

It seems Bouchard is not the only well known person channeling 2001 Britney Spears for Halloween. Paris Hilton also is.

A good year for Bouchard

Since retiring from the WTA Tour in 2025 and embarking upon a successful pickleball career on the PPA Tour, Bouchard has also become an excellent broadcaster. She worked for TNT and ESPN at the French Open and US Open. Bouchard, along with Andy Roddick, was among the best on-air talent ESPN had at this year’s US Open.

The 32-year-old Canadian is a former WTA World No. 5 ranked player and the 2014 Wimbledon finalist, losing to Petra Kvitova.

Injuries plagued her throughout her tennis career, but she is proof that some players enjoy more and different successes after their playing days are over.
