Jannik Sinner wrapped up a memorable week in Rome by lifting the Italian Open title in front of a home crowd.

The world number one took down Casper Ruud 6-4, 6-4 to win yet another ATP Masters 1000 crown, adding another highlight to what’s become an extraordinary season.

His victory extends an impressive run—he now holds six consecutive Masters titles and has completed the Career Golden Masters by winning all nine events on the circuit.

While Sinner’s grip on the top ranking remains firm, there was plenty of movement behind him in the top 10 following this year’s Italian Open.

Fritz and de Minaur slip down ATP rankings after Italian Open

Sinner holds a lead over Carlos Alcaraz in the rankings, with the Spaniard remaining in second place despite being sidelined by injury.

The rest of the top six is unchanged, featuring Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Ben Shelton.

Daniil Medvedev has moved up two places to seventh heading into Roland Garros, while Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur have each dropped one position. They are now eighth and ninth respectively.

Meanwhile, Alexander Bublik has risen to 10th in the rankings, replacing Lorenzo Musetti who has slipped out of the top 10.

Learner Tien and Rafael Jodar hit new career highs after Italian Open

There have been some notable moves just outside the top 10 as well, with Learner Tien standing out among the younger players making progress.

The American, who reached the round of 16 in Rome, has now climbed to a career-best ranking of 20th.

Still only 20, Tien is now the third-highest ranked American player, sitting behind Shelton and Fritz.

Rafael Jodar also reached a new high after beating Tien in Rome before losing to Luciano Darderi in the quarterfinals. The Spaniard moved up five spots to 29th.

The Spaniard is one spot ahead of Joao Fonseca, another young player making an impression on tour.
