Jannik Sinner has conquered Wimbledon for the second time in his professional career, and his victory has got the sports world gushing in excitement. Applauding the young Italian were Coco Gauff, Carlos Alcaraz, Jude Bellingham, Charles Leclerc, and a host of other global stars who erupted with joy on Instagram to celebrate Sinner’s title defense.

On Sunday, Sinner faced Zverev at the Centre Court of the All England Club and fought the German in a grueling four-set war. After splitting tie-breaks in the first two sets, the Italian held his nerve to win 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4.

Shots and snippets from the final have gone viral on Instagram, and celebrities and elite names from the sports fraternity did not hold back from showering the reigning champion with praise. Coco Gauff congratulated Sinner, writing:

“Congratulations.”

English footballer Jude Bellingham wrote:

“Machine.”

Racing driver Charles Leclerc wrote:

“Grandissimoooo!.”

Sinner’s longtime rival, Carlos Alcaraz, also posted a story on Instagram with Sinner holding the trophy. Alcaraz wrote:

“Congratulations, Jannik Sinner and Team! Enjoy the moment! @janniksin.”

With this win, Sinner has extended his absolute dominance over Alexander Zverev and pushed their head-to-head record to a staggering 11-4.

Jannik Sinner Gets a Shout From Rolex For his Wimbledon Victory

As global sporting elites from around the world praised the Italian for his title defense, Rolex has also joined the chorus of admiration by dedicating a note to Sinner’s triumph. Posting a picture of the defending champion on their Instagram, the multi-billion-dollar brand wrote:

“Congratulations @janniksin on your second consecutive victory at @wimbledon and a fifth Grand Slam¼ title. Another defining chapter in a remarkable journey. This crown is yours.”

Rolex has had a history with Wimbledon that dates back to 1978 and has been a timekeeper for the All-England Club since.

Sinner himself has been associated with Rolex since 2020 and has regularly sported their accessories on the court, especially during major tournaments.
