Andy Murray Spotted With Jack Draper and Jannik Sinner for the First Time After Coaching Announcement

After a year plagued by injuries and extended breaks, Jack Draper is preparing for his long-awaited comeback. His return to grass comes with the added presence of two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray in his camp.

Draper arrived at SW19 early to get in some practice sessions and chose to train with defending champion and World No. 1 Jannik Sinner.

During the 2025 clay-court season, Draper started experiencing pain in his left arm, and the injury flared up during his second-round Wimbledon exit. He then opted for an extended break, citing an arm bone-bruising injury.

The Brit attempted a comeback at the US Open, but ultimately pulled out of his second-round match and opted to end his season prematurely. After several months on the sidelines, he played a Davis Cup match in February and made his ATP Tour comeback at the Dubai Tennis Championships but faced an early exit. Draper couldn’t defend his Indian Wells title but made a mark by beating Novak Djokovic in the fourth round.

After opening-round exits in Miami and Barcelona, Jack Draper was sidelined once again, this time due to an aggravated tendon in his right knee. While recovering, the 24-year-old announced his separation from coach Jamie Delgado and announced Murray’s addition to his team for the grass swing.

The Brits were spotted publicly for the first time on Friday as they arrived at SW19 for a training block. Sinner, too, arrived early at the venue, opting to forgo grass-court tune-up events after a taxing stretch through the Sunshine and clay swings. Wimbledon’s official social media account shared a few pictures from their training session.

Jack Draper has entered the ATP 250 Eastbourne Open in the lead-up to the grass-court Slam. The tournament marks the first time he and Murray will officially work together. During his Queen’s Club visit earlier this week, the former World No. 1 said,

“He’s been training and getting ready for that. He’s been on the court most days for the last few weeks. His tennis is bloody good. Obviously, he’s had lots of issues the last year with various injuries. I feel like he’s starting to come out the other side of that now. The next step is getting on the match court and getting a consistent run of tournaments and weeks under him and building trust again in his body.”

“I get to spend a decent amount of time with Jack. I also believe a lot in his tennis. In the sessions I’ve done with him, I’ve been more impressed probably than what I expected. And I thought he was bloody good before I started helping him,” he added. “He’s a quick learner. He’s got very few holes in his game. He’s a more complete player than probably what I expected as well.”

Jack Draper will open his campaign against fifth seed Brandon Nakashima in Eastbourne. The tournament runs from June 22–27.
