Wilson Central completes sweep of Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE — After beginning their tennis match two weeks earlier before rain halted play, Wilson Central returned to Memorial Park on Wednesday to finish a 6-0 (glrls) and 5-2 (boys) sweep of Hendersonville.

Both Wildcat teams climbed to 4-3 for the season and 4-2 in Distyct 9-2A.

Singles winners for the Lady Wildcats were Lillia Colebank over Ana Gregory 8-1, Addie Cranor over Harper Messer 8-5, Sophia Davis over Melia Vance 8-3 and Bella Delgado over Kendall Remillard 8-0.

Doubles winners were Colebank and Davis over Gregory and Messer 8-1 and Cranor and Delgado over Remillard and Libby Jerrell 8-0.

Wildcat singles winners were Cameron Sather over Edward Cooper 9-7, Mateo Dorcey over Emile Higgins 8-4, Garron Colebank over Nicholas Bujanos 8-5 and Alex Fedie over Jack Rader 9-7.

Doubles winners were Dorcey and Colebank over Cooper and Bujanos 8-4.

Hendersonville’s winners were Eli Hawk over Aadhish Udayakumar 8-6 and Hawk and Higgins over Udayakumar and Sather 8-2.

Wilson Central will host Green Hill on Monday in another district match.
