Breakfast at Wimbledon has arrived, with a surprising women’s final between a pair of players looking for their first Grand Slam title on grass.
American Amanda Anisimova, the 13th seed, reached the finals after she stunned top seed Aryna Sabalenka. She will face Pole Iga Swiatek, who came in as the No. 8 seed because of her lack of previous success on grass. She has won four French Opens, so she’s no stranger to the big stage.
That adds up to Swiatek being a slight favorite.
