There has never been a sister duo in professional sports quite like tennis icons Venus and Serena Williams.

Bursting onto the scene at a young age, both sisters lived up to the immense hype and expectations that surrounded them. It all began with Venus, the older of the two, and eventually continued with Serena, who officially retired from the sport in 2022.

While they each had legendary singles careers, their dominance extended to doubles as well. Together, they won three Olympic gold medals in doubles—in 2000 (Sydney), 2008 (Beijing), and 2012 (London).

Back in May, Serena, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, was named a member of the 2025 Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame Class. She will be officially inducted during a ceremony held Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

On Saturday morning, Venus shared a powerful message on social media congratulating her younger sister on the historic achievement.

“The biggest congrats to @serenawilliams on being inducted into the #TeamUSAHOF! Watching your hard work and determination has been the biggest honor,” Venus wrote. “Proud of you today and every day, sis.”

Some other notable names being inducted into the Hall of Fame include legendary college basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, Nike founder Phil Knight, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, and several other individuals recognized for their remarkable accomplishments in the Olympic Games over the years.

As for Williams, in addition to her four gold medals, her induction was a no-brainer. She holds 23 Grand Slam singles titles, a career win percentage of 84%, 14 Grand Slam doubles titles alongside her sister Venus, and held the world No. 1 ranking for a total of 319 weeks.
