Tom Brady responds to Novak Djokovic after watching him play American football in Indian Wells

Novak Djokovic is set to return to action at the Indian Wells Open, over a month after his incredible Australian Open run.

The Serb reached the final at Melbourne Park, where he ultimately lost to Carlos Alcaraz in a thrilling four-set match.

Djokovic has since opted not to feature at any tour-level event, skipping the Middle East swing entirely.

Now, however, the 24-time major champion is ready to go again in ‘Tennis Paradise’, where he has not only been practicing tennis.

Djokovic was pictured throwing an American football around the Indian Wells Tennis Garden ahead of his first-round match.

In a post on his Instagram story, the Australian Open runner-up tagged NFL legend Tom Brady, asking: “Good form?”

Responding to Djokovic, Brady said: “Actually, you look more confident out there than a lot of the guys I watch on Sunday.”

In his first round match at the Indian Wells Open, Djokovic will take on Polish star Kamil Majchrzak.

Djokovic is currently tied with Roger Federer on five for the most titles captured at the Indian Wells Open since the tournament’s inception.

His first crown at the ATP Masters 1000 competition was secured back in 2008, when he beat Mardy Fish in the final.

He won the title again in 2011, and clinched three consecutive Indian Wells trophies from 2014 to 2016.

Since then, however, Djokovic has not made it past the fourth round, with the 38-year-old having not featured at the tournament from 2020 to 2023.

Last year, Djokovic was knocked out in the second round by Botic van de Zandschulp.
