Tennis fans react to the long awaited Jack Draper return to ATP Tour in Dubai

British tennis player and 2025 Indian Wells champion Jack Draper recorded his first match victory in over six months. An elbow injury forced Draper to retire from last year’s US Open, and it has been a long road to recovery.

Draper is back, and fans had many reactions to what they saw.

What fans said about Jack Draper

Jack Draper is a fan favorite so he was met with applause and encouragement.

However, his Vuori kit got mixed reviews for what was believed to be an awkward color combination.

However, those comments were fewer and farther than between than the comments about Jack Draper’s shaved head.

Apparently, people were unaware of this big change revealed earlier this month. Carlos Alcaraz and Joao Fonseca have also done it so perhaps it’s the in thing to do in men’s tennis.

Sam said: “I need it to grow back quickly”

Coco the Tennis Cat said: “I’m just wondering where his hair went.”

Perhaps the most concerning comments were about the additional items on Jack’s body: the arm sleeve and the knee bandage considering the fact he was coming back from injury.

One fan hoped that Draper was not being held together by duct tape after a six month layoff.

The arm sleeve is probably related to the injury, but the important thing is that Draper served well.

As with Arthur Fils and Joao Fonseca, ATP tennis is better with a healthy Jack Draper competing.

JaVale DGB said: “Straight back from injury and straight into wins, that’s a statement return”

Josh Can’t Volley wrote: “Tennis missed him. So nice to have him back. Let’s go, Jack!”

Jack Draper’s next match is on Wednesday in the Round of 16. He awaits the winner of the Fabian Marozsan and Arthur Rinderknech Round of 32 match on Tuesday.
