Stillwater’s Hall and Sutton win state doubles championship

Stillwater’s duo of Gabi Hall and Maggie Sutton won the 2025 Class 6A Girls No. 2 Doubles championship Saturday at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.

Hall and Sutton defeated Union’s team of Lara Dehya and Veena Ramasamy, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, in the finals match.

The doubles team was the crown jewel of the Lady Pioneers’ success at the state tournament as Stillwater was the runner-up – one team point behind champion Edmond Memorial.

Additionally, Maggie Norwood was the No. 2 Singles runner-up, defeating top-seeded Ava Slater of Bixby in the semifinal and narrowly losing to second-seeded Allie Dolezal of Edmond North in the final. Kori Gallegos and Ella Vaughan placed fourth in the No. 1 Doubles, and Kathy Liu placed seventh in the No. 1 Singles bracket.
