Nick Kyrgios doesnât play much tennis these days, but when he does, people watchâŠ
The controversial Aussie is always in demand, on and off the court.
He only played a handful of tournaments in 2025, and finished the year ranked 671st.
His 2025 campaign will be better remembered for his appearance in several high-profile exhibition events.
The most memorable of which being his âBattle of the Sexesâ win against Aryna Sabalenka.
That wasnât all he did last year, though, as he also helped sell out one of the worldâs most iconic arenas, Madison Square Garden.
Nick Kyrgios reflects on âdopeâ Madison Square Garden sellout
Kyrgios was a contestant at the âGarden Cupâ event at Madison Square Garden last December.
The Aussie was joined by Tommy Paul, Naomi Osaka, and Sabalenka.
First, Kyrgios lost to Paul in a third-set tiebreak, before Sabalenka defeated Osaka.
Then, Kyrgios and Osaka defeated Sabalenka and Paul in a mixed doubles clash.
The event, understandably given the names involved, was a sellout, as 17,435 fans packed into Madison Square Garden.
Posting on his Instagram story, Kyrgios reflected on the achievement.
âFâ man, sold out MSG?â he said.
âSo important to reflect on some of the dope things youâve done!
âDonât let anyone tell you anything else!â
Kyrgios has had plenty of time to reflect on his âdopeâ achievements recently, but when will he get back to adding to his resume?
Nick Kyrgios could miss Indian Wells and Miami
The former Wimbledon finalist has only played one singles match this year.
Competing in Brisbane, Kyrgios lost to Aleksander Kovacevic in the first round.
He then decided against playing singles at the Australian Open.
Unsurprisingly, Kyrgios did not return during the Middle-Eastern swing.
However, some expected the Aussie to make an appearance at the âSunshine Doubleâ Masters 1000 events at Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
After all, he played both in 2025.
But, for now at least, there are no signs pointing towards Kyrgios competing.
He could, of course, receive a wild card, although itâs unclear how fit he is.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries for several years now and was playing through pain in the Australian summer.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Kyrgios, but it will certainly be something to keep an eye on.
The 2026 Indian Wells tournament begins on Monday, March 2.
