Madison Keys, ranked No. 6, fell in the third round at Wimbledon after losing straight sets to Laura Siegemund, 6-3, 6-3, on Friday. No. 22 Sigemeund will advance to the round of 16 with the decisive upset.
The German player established an early lead in the first frame as Keys failed to close the gap and dropped the set. The second set had a similar theme as Keys tried to climb out of a 5-3 hole for Sigemeund to shut the door and take the victory.
