Jannik Sinner shares his opinion on his Nike kits

ATP World No. 2 Jannik Sinner is a longtime Nike ambassador.

Tennis fans have a love/hate relationship with how Nike dresses its players. Naomi Osaka looked divine at the Australian Open; however, the Sinner kit reminded some of yet another condiment that his colored kits resemble.

Sinner recently shared his thoughts on the Nike kits he’s been wearing.

A diplomatic Sinner

Jannik Sinner talked about Nike’s challenges in outfitting many athletes in various sports for different events throughout the year.

He felt Nike was doing “a pretty great job.” However, he added that he and his team will be more involved in the process next year.

Nike is just not doing it

Remember the old Nike tag line, “Just Do It.” Well, the company is not following its own advice with its top tennis players, excluding Naomi Osaka.

Aryna Sabalenka has been the WTA World No. 1 for a couple of years and still does not have custom Nike kits.

ATP World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is supposed to have a custom logo forthcoming. It has been in the works for over 18 months, and was reportedly getting its big reveal at the 2025 ATP Finals. Alcaraz later called that fake news and said it was still in the works.

Alex Eala, an emerging star from the Philippines, is the only one getting some customized treatment. Nike created custom tshirts and a hair tie with the sampaguita, the Filipino national flower.

Emma Raducanu recently left Nike for Uniqlo, joining Jack Draper, Frances Tiafoe, and Taylor Fritz who also moved on to other brands in the past few years.

Nike needs to hit a homerun with a top player in his or her prime. It is unclear if that will be Alcaraz, Sinner, Sabalenka, or maybe one that has not been in the conversation yet such as Mirra Andreeva or Amanda Anisimova.
