âJannik, itâs impressive what you are doing. Just the second man in the Open Era to win the Sunshine Double and then Monte-Carlo,â he said, according to journalist Jose Morgado.
The Spaniardâs comments highlight the scale of Sinnerâs achievement, with Novak Djokovic the only other player to complete that sequence, doing so in 2015.
The recognition underlined the respect between the two players, as the 24-year-old continues to build a remarkable run of results at the highest level.
