World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is making his way to Melbourne this week in hopes of capturing his first-ever Australian Open title.

With a win in Australia, the Spanish phenom would become the youngest man in history to complete a career grand slam at just 22 years old. The journey won’t be an easy one though, as Jannik Skinner will stand in his way, and the Italian is historically successful at this tournament.

Alcaraz will be entering his first grand slam without former coach and world No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero. Stepping up is his assistant Samuel Lopez, who helped guide Alcaraz to five titles in 2025.

Here is everything you need to know about Carlos Alcaraz’s appearance at the Australian Open, including the latest results from the tournament.
