Swiss tennis star Belinda Bencic has opened up about her family plans, confirming that she and her partner definitely want to have more children — but only after she wraps up her professional career. The 27-year-old, who is currently working her way back to full fitness after giving birth to her first child earlier this year, continues to balance motherhood with her tennis ambitions — but she’s already setting clear boundaries for what comes next.
Speaking candidly on the “Love All with Kim Clijsters” podcast, Bencic said, “Definitely for sure we want to have more kids. I mean that’s 100 percent the plan but for sure. But I think I want to finish my career and then you know have our second (kid), maybe third, right.”
It was such an honor to be joined by Belinda Bencic for our very first episode of Love All. She truly does it all with a smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and a great perspective. Be sure to check it out on YouTube or wherever you listen to podcasts!! 🤍🎾 pic.twitter.com/9VCrJb3Vgs

“I could then return for doubles and then play until like I’m 40 and then do it again,” Bencic said jokingly. “No no… for me it’s enough I think, I mean that was the plan definitely, to play with two kids is already another level that maybe only Tatiana maria can master,” she says as she shares a laugh with Clijsters.
“For me its enough, at some point, I’ve been on the tour for quite a while already so I’m not looking to play forever.”
Bencic, who is currently in Madrid, is already racking up wins under her belt and could be a factor at the three remaining Grand Slams later this year.
Clijsters remains the only mother to win a Grand Slam in the Open era (since 1968). Clijsters won the U.S. Open in 2009 and 2010 and the Australian Open in 2011 after the birth of her daughter in 2008.
It remains to be seen if Bencic can break through and win a Grand Slam before hanging up her racquet.
