The turn of the year is always a special moment for me. A moment to pause, reflect on the past year, and at the same time look ahead. For Tennistraining Online, the past year was extremely intense and demanding, but also very exciting, with many highs, some lows, a great deal of work, and countless moments that will stay with me for a long time.
Tennistraining Online and platform development
As managing director of Tennistraining Online, my focus was not only on the continuous development of the platform, but also on several larger content-driven projects. One project in particular accompanied and challenged me over many months: the development of the Success Compass for Tennis Coaches.
The Success Compass for Tennis Coaches
Looking back, this project was far more demanding than I initially expected. A large part of the process consisted of repeatedly reading through the book from start to finish, reviewing it across sections, and rethinking it again and again. Chapters were revised multiple times, wording was adjusted, and content was critically questioned.

Details, control and a decisive mistake
A huge amount of work went into the details. Spelling mistakes, logical inconsistencies and transitions had to be checked repeatedly. Special attention was paid to the QR codes in the practical section, which were tested dozens of times and reviewed by several people. And yet, in the end, a decisive logical error occurred. The QR code was missing for two exercises in the practical section.
Looking back, this situation was above all curious and very instructive. Even though I had worked through the Success Compass For Tennis Coaches countless times myself, reading and checking it page by page, this detail went unnoticed. The moment this error came to light, when the books were already in production, was a major shock, as I could no longer correct it. To minimize the impact for buyers, the missing content was later provided via a free e-book.
Proofreading in unusual places
Some moments stand out vividly in my memory. I proofread the Success Compass during my vacation at Lake Garda in temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. For three days, I sat on a bench with around 400 printed pages in my hands, checking page after page.

I also remember the festivals Parookaville and Wacken. Surrounded by people celebrating and enjoying themselves, I sat on a camping chair with my stacks of paper, focused on correcting the Success Compass. These moments show how intense and ever-present this project was.

Finding the right book designer
Another challenge was finding the right book designer. Through Fiverr, I even ended up on a video call with a designer from India, a very strange moment that took place from the middle of the Bronx. As interesting as the encounter was, the collaboration did not materialize as the contact suddenly stopped responding.
Eventually, a very reliable solution emerged. Also via Fiverr, I connected with Fuxx Studios. From the beginning, this collaboration was professional, structured and based on trust. It made it possible to complete the Success Compass, and the pre-sale exceeded my expectations.
Version 2.0 and new challenges
Another instructive step was the expansion of the Success Compass to version 2.0. The book grew from 671 to a total of 723 pages. From a content perspective, this was a major step forward. From a practical perspective, however, a new challenge emerged. I had miscalculated the weight of the book, which exceeded two kilograms including packaging and would have made shipping more expensive. New packaging solutions are currently being tested.
Hands-on work and personal responsibility
What I am particularly proud of is that the Success Compass for Tennis Coaches has remained very hands-on. I still pack the books myself, take care of shipping, and regularly drive to the post office. This process is a conscious part of the project and reflects how much personal commitment went into it.
A productive year on Tennistraining Online
At the same time, a lot of work was done on Tennistraining Online. Around 120 to 150 new videos were created over the course of the year, with a total running time of more than twelve hours. Practical content for coaches and players remained the core focus.
Looking ahead to 2026
The focus now shifts to 2026. The Success Compass for Tennis Coaches will continue to grow and expand internationally. The English translation is already underway and the book will be released as an English e-book. In addition, the theoretical part is planned to be released as an audiobook. Further collaborations with tennis coaches are also planned.
Tennistraining Online will continue to develop as well. New videos, new exercises and technical improvements to the platform are planned, with a focus on search functionality, performance and speed. A new athletics technique module developed together with Michael Kreuzer is scheduled for release in March 2026.
Closing words
Finally, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported Tennistraining Online over the past year. My thanks go especially to the members and premium members, as well as to everyone who purchased the Success Compass for Tennis Coaches.
I wish you a great start to the new year and a healthy, successful and sporting 2026.
Sporting regards
Martin Kares
