Wimbledon doubles champ Kristina Mladenovic urges WTA Finals to go back to glamorous group photo

WTA Finals doubles tennis star and 2026 Wimbledon doubles champion Kristina Mladenovic spoke out about the new format for the 2026 WTA Finals photo shoot.

Unlike previous years when the athletes wore formal wear and posed in iconic photos together, this year the event conducted individual photos.

Mladenovic qualified for the 2017 WTA Finals as an alternate singles player. She hopes the WTA goes back to its pre-2026 practices.

Mladenovic said she wore the one nice outfit she had in her suitcase because she did not like the “vision/styling of this shooting.”

She stands for “glam and elegance for the Finals! I hope they bring back the iconic glam photo!”

Many agree with Mladenovic that this year’s photos were subpar.

WTA Finals group photos missed the mark

Fans were geniunely confused by this year’s photos and could not figure out if there was a theme. It was such a hodge-podge of clothing. The consensus was that the doubles players looked better.

WTA Finals round robin play begins on November 8 and will air live on Tennis Channel.
