Coco Gauff makes her feelings known about being in the top eight players consistently
Coco Gauff has earned a spot to compete in the WTA Finals, which will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, California, from November 8 to November 15, 2026. Her qualification came from her quarterfinals appearance at the Australian Open and semifinal runs at Wimbledon and the US Open. After clinching her spot in the Finals for the fifth consecutive time, she took pride in herself.
During media day at the WTA Finals, the American tennis player said staying in the top eight consistently is also an incredible feat.
“I’m usually a focus on ‘what’s next’ type of person, but definitely [being] here five times in a row is something to be proud of because [I’m] consistently being among the top eight players of the world for some time now. I definitely think that’s an accomplishment. When you’re in it, you don’t really realize how big of a deal it is,” Gauff said.
Coco Gauff has been drawn with Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, and Linda Noskova at the 2026 WTA Finals.
