How Coco Gauff’s record vs her opponents at the WTA Finals looks as both groups are confirmed

The WTA Finals round robin groups have been confirmed for the 2026 event.

Elena Rybakina, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula and Linda Noskova will compete for two qualification spots in Group One.

Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva, Elina Svitolina and Karolina Muchova will do battle in Group Two.

Rybakina is the defending WTA Finals champion – she defeated Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in last year’s final, triumphing 6-3, 7-6 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ahead of the event, which will take place from November 8 to 15, let’s take a look at Coco Gauff’s WTA records against her round-robin opponents.

Coco Gauff’s record vs her WTA Finals opponents

Gauff has competed against the current world number one on only three occasions in the past, winning just one of those said contests.

Gauff’s sole victory against Elena Rybakina occurred in their first-ever match at the 2022 Canadian Open. Gauff triumphed 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 in the round of 32.

Rybakina twice defeated Gauff in 2026: at the Canadian Open and the US Open.

Gauff has enjoyed greater success against her compatriot and fellow top-five ranked player Jessica Pegula.

The 22-year-old has a 5-5 record against Pegula and has won her last two matches against the American. Both of those victories occurred this year, at Wimbledon and the Cincinnati Open.

Gauff will also have to contend with Linda Noskova in Indian Wells. Noskova, the 2026 Wimbledon champion, has quickly emerged as one of the brightest young stars on the circuit.

Gauff has a 2-1 record against the Czech player, defeating Noskova twice in 2023: at Indian Wells and the Cincinnati Open.

Noskova won their last contest at 2026 Madrid Open, winning 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 in the fourth round.
