How to Watch The British Open 2026: TV channel, streaming info

The year’s final major, the 154th Open Championship, is coming to the historic Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England.

The three majors played so far have been won by three different players: Rory McIlroy (Masters), Aaron Rai (PGA Championship), Wyndham Clark (U.S. Open).

Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler, fresh off missing the cut at the Scottish Open, is back to defend his Open Championship, with players such as Matt Fitzpatrick, Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood, and Xander Schauffele expected to be in contention by the end of the tournament.

It’s the 11th time that the Open Championship has been held at Royal Birkdale. The last time it was held there in 2017, Jordan Spieth led wire-to-wire for a three-shot victory over Matt Kuchar. That was Spieth’s last victory in a major championship.
