After Sinner emerged victorious at SW19, the two shared a heartwarming moment at the net, but the Italian remained tight-lipped about the details of their conversation.

With his title defense on the line, Sinner produced his best performance of the tournament, dominating his much-awaited rematch with Djokovic at the grass-court Major. The world No. 1 secured a commanding 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory to book his place in the final.

Following their match, Sinner and Djokovic shared a warm embrace at the net and exchanged a few words before the Italian celebrated his win.

Speaking to Sky Sport Tennis afterward, Sinner refused to delve into details of their conversation, only saying it was positive. Instead, he spoke highly of Djokovic’s remarkable longevity, adding that he felt fortunate to have shared another battle with the 24-time Grand Slam champion on Centre Court.

“I don’t want to tell exactly what we said to each other (smiles)… positive things from him to me and obviously from myself to him! What he’s doing and what he keeps on doing for tennis, for the new generation like me is incredible no? We’re lucky to have him with us still and I am lucky to learn so many things from him. I feel lucky that I could play with Nole, and on Centre Court one more time. We told each other positive things,” he said.

Djokovic also praised Sinner after their clash, acknowledging the Italian’s high level of play, powerful serve, and dominance from the baseline.

“I’m not upset with myself. I don’t think I’ve done too much wrong. I was just a level or two worse than he is. I mean, he was playing so solid from all ends. [It is] very difficult to read his serve, incredible weapon has become last couple years since he changed his technique. Of course, he’s as solid as anyone really from back of the court. That’s it,” he said in his post-match press conference.

Following his win over Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner will square off against No. 2 seed and reigning French Open champion Alexander Zverev in the Wimbledon final. Zverev claimed a 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4 win over home favorite Arthur Fery to reach his maiden final at SW19 and set up a meeting with Sinner.
