Robert Griffin III All-In on Serena Williams Hype for Wimbledon
Williams officially announced her comeback to the WTA tour earlier this month. She even played doubles in the HSBC Championships. She then pitched her wish to play at Wimbledon later this month. Her wish was granted by the All England Club, and she has been granted the final ladies’ singles wildcard.
Former quarterback Robert Griffin III lost it when he saw Williams’ confirmation of her entry to play at Wimbledon. He took to X via his podcast account ‘Outta Pocket With RGIII’ and tweeted, “THE GOAT IS BACK. 🐐”
Before this month, Williams had not seen the inside of a tennis court professionally for nearly four years. However, fans won’t have to wait long to see history in the making. Wimbledon kicks off on June 29. The Women’s Final is scheduled for July 11.
