Serena Williams is all set for a highly anticipated return to Wimbledon, with excitement soaring after it was announced that she will team up with her sister Venus Williams at the grass-court Major. The 23-time Grand Slam champion has already arrived at SW19 with her two daughters, and now her husband, Alexis Ohanian, has joined the family in London.

Although Serena Williams initially retired from professional tennis at the 2022 US Open, she recently returned to competition during the grass-court season, competing in doubles. The American enjoyed the support of her family during her first match back alongside doubles partner Victoria Mboko, as they defeated the No. 3 seeds, Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe, at the Queen’s Club Championships.

Williams shared an emotional embrace with her husband and daughters in the stands after the remarkable victory. While at the WTA 500 event, the 44-year-old revealed that her primary motivation for returning to the court was to give her daughters, Olympia and Adira, the chance to see her compete.

“I don’t need to win. I’ve won more than most people have in their whole lives. And it’s important that I keep reminding myself of that because I don’t have anything to prove. I don’t have anything to lose. And everything here is just to gain. It’s really about my kids getting to see me play. I mean, Olympia is a little bit older. Adira is very young. But it’s also having an opportunity to still be able to possibly do that one last time is kind of cool and exciting,” she said.

After a short-lived run at the Berlin Tennis Open alongside partner Karolína Muchová, Williams arrived at Wimbledon with her daughters in tow, sharing heartwarming pictures from the tournament grounds.

Alexis Ohanian, who had returned to the United States after Williams was forced to abandon her Queen’s Club campaign due to Mboko’s knee injury, displayed his admiration for the touching photos from afar.

“😍😍😍 my heart,” Ohanian commented.

Now reunited with his family in London, Ohanian wasted no time continuing his beloved tradition of treating Olympia and Adira to crepes every Saturday.

Ohanian also created a special memory with Adira, capturing the adorable scenes as the two-year-old covered her face in stickers.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion will also compete in the singles draw after receiving a wildcard.
