Alex de Minaur missed out on back-to-back Libema Open titles, falling in the final to Kamil Majchrzak.
De Minaur had won the title in âs-Hertogenbosch in 2024, his second grass-court success following Eastbourne in 2021.
He came close to another this week but lost a tight final at the ATP 250 event, going down 6-3, 2-6, 7-6(7-5).
Majchrzakâs victory was his first-ever ATP Tour title. Heâll also be allowed back into the main draws of Tour-level events for the first time since serving a ban for doping violations.

De Minaur shared on Instagram: âTough one to finish the week, but Iâm leaving [Libema Open] with plenty of positives and a lot of confidence heading into the next few weeks.
âThe Netherlands has been very good to me this year. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported me throughout the week. The atmosphere was incredible.
âCongratulations to [Kamil Majchrzak] on the title and an amazing week, you played some great tennis. Now itâs time for [Queenâs], a place that feels like a second home to me.â

Iga Swiatek responds to Kamil Majchrzakâs Libema Open win
It was a tightly contested match between second seed De Minaur and Majchrzak, with the Pole edging out the Australian after two hours and 25 minutes.
After lifting the trophy, Majchrzak spoke about his respect for Novak Djokovic, but his achievement also drew attention from a notable figure in the WTA.
His fellow Pole Iga Swiatek acknowledged his win on her Instagram story, posting: âCongrats [Kamil Majchrzak]. Enjoy the moment!â
Majchrzak is now set to head to Queenâs Club with a new career-high ranking following his breakthrough in the Netherlands. The 30-year-old jumped an impressive 29 spots in the ATP rankings, climbing to world No.47.
At Queenâs Club, heâll open against Jiri Lehecka while De Minaur faces Gabriel Diallo. The Australian is also teaming up in doubles with local favourite Cam Norrie.
