Emma Raducanu has been finding her form once again, putting together a brilliant run on the grass courts to reach her first career WTA final on home soil at the 2026 Queenâs Club Championships in London. While the Brit has frequently changed her coaching staff over the last few years, she has a familiar team to guide her during the grass swing. Hereâs a look at the key members of Raducanuâs coaching team.
Andrew Richardson â Head Coach
Last month, Raducanu reunited with Richardson as her head coach. The British coach famously guided Raducanu to her only major title at the 2021 US Open, where she surprised everyone by winning as a qualifier. The two share a relationship that spans over a decade. Raducanu has credited their great chemistry and his ability to help her play the aggressive style of tennis she prefers.
When asked if she believes parting ways with Richardson was a mistake, Raducanu said, âEverything in my life changed upside down. I didnât really know what was going on.â
âA lot of experiences over the last few years have taught me about what I didnât want. It taught me that I really value having people I trust and connect with around me. Itâs really nice to have that feeling back,â she added.
Jane OâDonoghue â Coach / Mentor
OâDonoghue is a former pro, an ex-LTA national coach, and a trusted longtime friend who has stepped in to assist Raducanu at major tournaments. Though OâDonoghue transitioned from full-time tennis coaching to finance, she remains part of Raducanuâs camp, having been spotted in the playerâs box at Miami and Wimbledon.
Emma Stewart â Physical Therapist / S&C Coach
Stewart joined Raducanuâs team ahead of the 2026 season as a physical therapist and strength & conditioning coach. Before making her mark on the WTA Tour, Stewart had a successful stint working with the British menâs rowing team at the Olympics. Her expertise has helped Raducanu rebuild her fitness and manage a mid-season viral illness that kept her out for over two months.
Alexis Canter â Hitting Partner
Canter is a 28-year-old British tennis pro and Raducanuâs main hitting partner and assistant coach. Being just four years older and still playing professionally in the ATP and ITF circuits, he brings a playerâs perspective. He has served as an interim coach after her exit from the Australian Open following her split with coach Francisco Roig. Since then, Canter has traveled with her to major tournaments, working alongside various head coaches, including Mark Petchey, in her player box.
Jill Smoller â Agent
Smoller is a renowned sports super-agent, best known for her long-standing representation of Serena Williams at WME/IMG. She works closely with Raducanu, managing the massive off-court business, brand endorsements, and media demands.
Raducanu has battled the scheduling chaos at the HSBC Championships, where she had to play the quarters and semifinal on the same day. She also bested opponents like Sorana CĂźrstea and Iva Jovic to reach the Queenâs Club final. With a settled and familiar team in her corner, she will look to win and carry this momentum straight into Wimbledon.
