Maja Chwalinska will probably still be processing her incredible journey at the French Open.
The 24-year-old, who started in qualifying, made an unlikely run all the way to the final two in Paris.
She was stopped by eighth seed Mirra Andreeva, who won her first Grand Slam title with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Still, Chwalinska has plenty to be proud of after her remarkable performance.

Chwalinska, who was greeted as a hero upon her return to Poland, shared on her Instagram story: âI would like to thank all the fans from the bottom of my heart for the incredible support I have received over the past few weeks and for such a warm welcome in Poland.
âI am truly grateful for every message and every kind word. Now itâs time to rest and recover. See you soon!â
This period is one she hasnât experienced before in her career, and she has more than earned some time away from the spotlight. Her runner-up finish at Roland Garros shocked everyone watching on, representing her best-ever Grand Slam result.

It will go down as one of the most remarkable French Opens in recent memory, with surprises everywhere across both the menâs and womenâs singles.
On the menâs side, top seed Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic both made early exits, clearing the path for Alexander Zverev to capture his first major title.
On the womenâs side, world number one Aryna Sabalenka bowed out in the quarterfinals, following earlier upsets for Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff.
Amid all that chaos, Chwalinska managed to keep her focus and play her way through to the final, where she eventually ran into a red-hot Andreeva.
Her incredible run earned her âŹ1.4 million in prize money and a massive leap in the rankings from 114th to 21st.
