The professional tennis grass season is in full swing this week and culminates with the start of Wimbledon on June 29.
Because it is quick and there are players nursing injuries, there is legitimate concern that we may not see some of the top ranked ATP players at Wimbledon (in addition to Carlos Alcaraz).

If Brit Jack Draper misses Wimbledon with Andy Murray on his team for the grass season, the entire country of England will be in mourning. Draper has not played since April as he deals with a knee injury and continues to delay his return by withdrawing from tournaments. The most recent withdrawal is for next weekâs ATP portion of the HSBC Championships. As of now, Draper is planning to play Eastbourne, but it leaves little prep time for Wimbledon.
2. Arthur Fils
Arthur Fils, who turns 22 on June 12, was on a triumphant comeback campaign after missing the second half of 2025. Everyone knew he was not healthy when he was forced to withdraw from his home slam, the French Open. Fils, like Draper, withdrew from the HSBC Championships next week.
No one knows if his injury is related to last yearâs back problem, or if Fils is dealing with a new health issue.
3. Lorenzo Musetti
Lorenzo Musetti has been out of action since the Italian Open. Musetti was a Wimbledon semifinalist in 2024 and has struggled to stay healthy the past two years.
4. Holger Rune
Holger Rune, a 2023 Wimbledon quarterfinalist, is attempting a comeback from a devastating Achilles injury suffered last year. He teased a clay return which everyone thought was too soon. Since then, he has withdrawn from grass tournaments making his Wimbledon availability questionable.
