Having suffered losses in three previous Grand Slam finals, No. 2 seed Zverev was determined to redeem himself against No. 10 seed Cobolli at the French Open. However, the win did not come easily, as the duo battled for four hours and 16 minutes before the world No. 3 sealed a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1 victory to get his hands on the elusive trophy.
