Zachary Svajda
Svajda, 23, is currently World No. 85. His win on Saturday was especially meaningful as it happened on his late fatherâs birthday.
His dad Tom Svajda was a pivotal part of Zacharyâs tennis development. He was a tennis coach and pro in San Diego who was able to use his connections to get John Isner and Roger Federer to practice with his son.
Tom Svadja passed away last October at the age of 60 from cancer.
Svajda won some fans today. Letâs hope he can keep the momentum going.
Svadja takes on Flavio Cobolli on Monday. The two played each other at the 2024 Delray Beach Open, and Cobolli won in three sets.

Frances Tiafoe
Could the annihilated draw be a golden opportunity for Frances Tiafoe?
The 28-year-old did what has become commonplace this tournament, come back from two sets down to win the match in five. There was some heated moments in this match.
Tiafoe was a quarterfinalist last year at Roland Garros.
He said that fans told him it is his time when the news came out that Jannik Sinner was beaten earlier in the week.

Tiafoe faces Matteo Arnaldi on Monday. The two split their previous two meetings with Arnaldi winning last year at the Madrid Open. Tiafoe won their match at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships after dropping the first two sets.
Madison Keys
Keys, the 2018 French Open semifinalist, had a curtailed clay court season due to illness.
She held on during a tight three setter with Victoria Mboko, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5.
Keys plays Diana Shnaider on Monday. She has never lost to Shnaider in three previous meetings, but none were on clay.
