Tien vs Navone Head-to-Head Record

These two players met twice last year, with the head-to-head record at 1-1 going into the Geneva Open final. Navone defeated Tien in straight sets at Indian Wells, before the latter emerged victorious in three sets in Hangzhou.

This will be Tien’s first final on clay at any level. The 20-year-old appears to be improving with every match he plays on clay and has already beaten Stefanos Tsitsipas and Bublik this week.

Another tough battle against a clay-court specialist awaits Tien in the final. The 25-year-old has been in fine form this week, defeating three top-10 seeds en route to the final. He was dominant on his serve against Ruud in the semifinals, landing his first serve 80% of the time and also converting 6 of 8 break-point opportunities.

Navone hasn’t been able to make as much of an impact on clay as he would have liked this season, but he did win the Țiriac Open and then defeated FĂ©lix Auger-Aliassime in Rome. His overall win-loss record in 2026 stands at 15-11.

Tien vs Navone Prediction and Pick

This is shaping up to be an intriguing final between one of the most talented young players on the ATP Tour and a clay-court specialist with a 57% win rate on the surface.

Tien will be the slight underdog with Navone’s clay-court experience and ability to get the most out of the conditions, giving him the slight advantage. However, the California native has made it a habit of outperforming expectations and will be determined to pull off an upset.

Still, we believe that Navone’s consistency and overall clay-court expertise will give him the edge. The Argentinian has a number of tools in his arsenal that make him dominant on clay, such as his spin-heavy forehand and excellent court-coverage.

Tien will give Navone a tough fight on Saturday, and his left-handed baseline game could create some difficult angles for the clay-court specialist. However, we are backing Navone to prevail in this one.

Pick – Navone in three sets.
