The Monte-Carlo Masters has reached its final, setting up two high-profile players like Alcaraz and Sinner.
Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev met for the third time this season, having already faced off in the semifinals of both Indian Wells and Miami. Sinner won all encounters and is currently riding an eight-match win streak against the German.
Meanwhile, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz took on Valentin Vacherot, who has the added motivation of playing in front of his home crowd. Alcaraz not only kept his title hopes alive but also to retain his world number one ranking.
With a trophy, 1000 ranking points, and substantial prize money on offer, all four players have plenty at stake heading into the weekend.
How much prize money is on the line at the Monte-Carlo Masters?
This yearâs Monte-Carlo Masters comes with a total prize pot of âŹ6,309,095.
The singles winner will take home âŹ974,370, while the doubles champions will share âŹ298,950 between them. Meanwhile, the runner-up will pocket âŹ532,120 along with 650 ATP ranking points.
Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev have already secured âŹ290,960 each for reaching the semifinals of the tournament. If Carlos Alcaraz makes it to the final this year, he will surpass Andy Murrayâs career earnings.
Despite facing off six times last year, Sinner and Alcaraz havenât met in a final at an ATP Tour-level event this season. Their most recent clash was back at the ATP Finals in 2025, but theyâve yet to share a court since then.
Sinner exited the Australian Open in the semis, while Alcaraz reached the final. But in Indian Wells and Miami, it was Sinner who made it through to both finals as Alcaraz came up short.
Monte-Carlo now looks like their best chance yet to meet in a final this year, with both players strongly favoured to come through their semifinal matches.
