Alexandra Eala’s superstar status is sealed on and off the court

Filipina tennis star Alexandra Eala is one of tennis’s rising stars. Her magical 2025 Miami Open semifinal run plucked the Rafael Nadal Academy graduate from obscurity, and she has not looked back since..

Eala, 20, has the magic touch off the court also. Her recent guest appearance on Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk’s The Players Box podcast was a ratings hit. The episode earned more than double the views of its previous 32 episodes.

With a WTA 125 Challenger title on her resume, she possesses humor, intelligence, class, grace, and likeability.

Eala’s biggest successes have happened on the hardcourts. Her left-handed forehand packs power and looks eerily familiar to a certain left-handed Spanish legend known for his clay court dominance.

Rafael Nadal is supportive of Eala in her journey. Uncle Toni has been spotted at her matches and overseeing practices. Nadal commemorated his one year ATP retirement anniversary by hitting with her.

Watch Alexandra Eala kick off her 2026 clay season at the WTA 500 tournament in Linz, Austria on the Tennis Channel beginning April 6.
