Aryna Sabalenka defeated Elena Rybakina, 6-4, 6-3, to reach the Miami Open final.
There, she will play Coco Gauff, who dismantled Karolina Muchova 6-1, 6-1, in the earlier semifinal.
After watching Sabalenkaâs semifinal, Kai Trump, a competitive golfer and the eldest granddaughter of President Donald Trump, sent the Belarusian a message on social media.
Kai Trump âhad so much funâ watching Aryna Sabalenka
Trump posed for a picture with the four-time Grand Slam champion.
Sharing the picture on her Instagram story, Trump said the following.
âHad so much fun watching Aryna Sabalenka,â she said.
âLetâs get it Saturday.â
Itâs clear to see who Trump is backing to win this yearâs Miami Open!
But who is the favorite?
Sabalenka and Gauff have met 12 times previously on the WTA Tour.
In one of the most competitive rivalries in womenâs tennis, Sabalenka and Gauff are level at 6-6 in their head-to-head.
There are, however, specific reasons for both players and their millions of fans to be hopeful.
For Gauff, she has a history of beating Sabalenka in âbigâ matches.
Gauff defeated Sabalenka to win her first Grand Slam at the US Open three years ago, and doubled her major tally with another win over the Belarusian at last yearâs French Open.
Sabalenka, on the other hand, is the undisputed world number one.
The 27-year-old has held the top spot since 2024 and canât stop winning.
Sheâs the defending Miami Open champion and won Indian Wells last time out.
On form, youâd back Sabalenka to emerge victorious, but you never want to count Gauff out.
Sabalenka and Gauff will battle it out for the Miami Open trophy on Saturday, March 28.
How many women have completed the âSunshine Doubleâ?
To complete the Sunshine Double, you must win Indian Wells and the Miami Open in the same year.
In womenâs tennis, four players have achieved the feat.
The first player to do so was Steffi Graf in 1994, repeating the feat two years later.
Kim Clijsters was the second, in 2005, and Victoria Azarenka was the third, in 2016.
The fourth and most recent player to complete the Sunshine Double was Sabalenkaâs greatest rival, Iga Swiatek.
She defeated Maria Sakkari in the Indian Wells final and Naomi Osaka in the Miami Open final four years ago.
Sabalenka is now just one match away from adding her name to that prestigious listâŠ
