Amanda Anisimova has opened up on an unexpected benefit from her recent partnership with Joao Fonseca last December.
The pair teamed up at the Miami Invitational, where they faced Carlos Alcaraz and Jessica Pegula in a high-profile exhibition mixed doubles clash. Despite the loss, the match drew significant attention and offered Anisimova a different kind of exposure.
Fonsecaâs rapid rise, particularly among Brazilian supporters, appears to have had an immediate impact on Anisimova, who now feels that crossover moment has expanded her audience.
